The Stockton International Riverside Festival

Each year in the Summer, Stockton is well known in international circles for having an International Riverside Festival (SIRF) which celebrates the madcap world of street arts and has been at the forefront of the town's regeneration. Focused on the riverside along the River Tees, it was first held in 1988 and attracts the very best performers from around the globe. Each year it just gets bigger and better and it proves that by the 1000's of people who come into Stockton each and every year, there is something for everyone and well worth a visit, I know I have enjoyed being part of it
